Remembering Phyllis Diller

I can only imagine the one-liner that Phyllis Diller would caption this picture with. (It’s difficult to see in a photo this small but her name is lovingly sewn into the lining of her fur coat.)

I was sad to hear of Phyllis Diller’s passing last week. I had the chance to work with her in late 2010 when I shot a veteran comedian’s roundtable for the Hollywood Reporter. They were legends all but it was Phyllis who kept the one-liners coming. And, it was all joyful.

Rest in peace Grand Dame.

What a wonderful insight into the person of Phyllis Diller – – she was one of my favorites when I was little, seemed so very naughty. Thanks for sharing these.

  2. Wow! The first shot of the wheel chair with the fur coat! So awesome you had an opportunity to work with her what a lady! Great post, thanks for sharing
